Sometime before Cataclysm hit, we decided to form a new guild with a strong raiding focus, and since then, we've moved all active players over to Betrayed. That's where you will find all the action and the page you should turn to if you're seeking a focused, yet casual, raiding guild. We're into heroic boss killing in Firelands at the time of this latest update. The management of the guild is pretty much unchanged since Wrath, even though we've lost and gained a few members of course. You'll find us online and raiding on Wednesdays and Sundays most likely :) Take care and enjoy the game! /Prisnagka - now an officer of Betrayed (Drakosa/Ellearise took over as GM just as we left for Betrayed.) |

Hi all,
Yesterday we continued the raid from this Wednesday with the hopes of doing a few new bosses on hard mode, but we were really scr****ed by Blizz' in that while it's possible to join other ICC10 raids and such (as of a few weeks back), one couldn't continue our ICC10HM raid with more HMs while having a character that was saved on ICC25HM in the raid. That put us back a little, but then we decided to clear all on normal and give some people the Kingslayer title instead :)
The Lich King was downed on our 3rd attempt, which must be said to be quite well, as we had about half the raid gaining their title - for Leof', this was his first raid ever and he did quite well in there as well.
A few people were also promoted to Amazons or Girl for having been raiding regularly with us now - gratz all, you know who you are!
Cheers,
/Prisse // posting as Raz' again :) -
Hi all :)
Just wanted to make a post about our raid on wednesday, and say a big congratulations to everyone who attended. We went to ICC10 with 6 alts, and 4 mains (1 of which had never entered ICC before, let alone attempted heroic mode) We downed 6 bosses on heroic, with a couple of little hiccups along the way but overall it was a very nice raid. The atmosphere throughout was good and cheerful, even with little mistakes, and everyone performed admirably. Have to congratulate Leofwine for his brilliant performance healing so well considering he hadnt been in ICC before, and grats to all the alts who joined who again performed well.
I hope to see the same commitment to raiding as i did on wednesday and hope things go aswell if not better for our future missions in ICC :)
All the best

I just didn't want us to loose all the epic stories from our past, even though Curse and Wowstead seem unable to perform something as simple as a copy from database to database (where they even have full control of the structure on both sides). In my personal opinion that's pretty much a fail at being anything close to an IT-professional. I've personally migrated larger and much more crucial information with a lot less hickups than this (think of it as having real money involved and loads of users, and you should get the picture...)
Anyway, here's simply a series of copy-paste of the news from the legacy site, which will be brought down soon. Images will be missing, but at least the stories will remain.
Have fun reading...

----------GIRL is Ruub'ish??
Posted by PrisnagkaSeptember 3, 2010 at 11:00 amNot really, but I wanted to once again welcome Ruubsters as the latest officer of GIRL.
Starcaller Ruubsters is inaugurated as officer in GIRL at a small ceremony in Dalaran, in the presence of Twilight Vanquisher Leonidas, Qeqre of the Ashen Verdict, Drwhoot the Kingslayer, Drakosa the Kingslayer and yours humbly, Prisnagka the Kingslayer.
Some sad news
This week, I sadly had to kick a few members from the guild as they repeatedly decided that it was more fun to go pug icc-10 instead of joining our guild runs. I don't like having to do that more than anyone else, especially as we really needed their classes and the numbers to pull of more raids consistently. You will be missed, but I wish you the best of luck wherever you end up.
Back to some happier news - We had some fun yesterday :)
With all the problems Blizzard had with the login servers, people were having a hard time getting online for the raid, the few of us that managed to get online decided to be dedicated and go clear Naxxramas for some achievements. Actually, we aimed at getting as many achievements as we could in one run, including doing And They All Would Go Down Together. A few hours later, Arrn had gained about 16 new achievements, since that was his first visit to Naxxramas :). It was fun blasting through that content again, and we'll probably go for it again sometime, but with a group then focusing on Undying only.
Recruiting
I'm glad to see that we're getting a few new applications to GIRL as well. Keep them coming, we're always on the lookout for good, mature players that can help us progress in our 10-man raids as well as participate in making the guild the friendly place it's meant to be.
Cheers,
/Prisse6/12 on hard modes in ICC-10
Posted by PrisnagkaAugust 30, 2010 at 10:54 amWell, as of the Thursday raid, we're now up to 6/12 on hard modes in ICC-10. The two latest additions were Festergut and Rotface.
I'd also like to welcome Motionm who joined us as a pug for that 9/10 guild run, and did well enough to deserve an invite to GIRL for that. Well done, and gratz on the nice loot you got in there as well :)
Cheers,
/Prisse
PS. For the time being, we're using an alternate TS server. You'll find more information in the FAQ section. /P.Good raid - hm progression
Posted by PrisnagkaAugust 19, 2010 at 9:44 amNice work in the raid yesterday - two new bosses downed in hard mode - Lady Deathwhisperer (oneshotted) and The Deathbringer Saurfang (after a few tries to time taunting, stunning etc).
Sadly we had one member disconnect after that and had to proceed on normal mode for the remaining bosses. (Replacement pug didn't have tactics for hard modes, and we decided to simply clear more bosses than going through a training session then.)
Very nice healing done by Belfa and Apocalyptica on Blood-Queen Lana'Thel - both topping over 9k hps each on that fight only.
For The Blood Princes we also got 'The Orb Whisperer' thanks to good movement and perception by the entire raid.
Cheers,
/PrisseA Tribute to GIRL
Posted by PrisnagkaAugust 16, 2010 at 11:21 pmI just can't help looking back to where GIRL is coming from every once in a while. It keeps me remember why GIRL is such an extraordinary guild to be in, and why I've put in soo many hours in this game.
So without further introduction, let me present my small tribute to GIRL by sharing with you some of
The Heroes of the Past, Present and Future GIRL
From the golden years of 2008 and before
Maphesta (1st and 3rd GM), Shinru (4th GM), Kirony, Massacraur (2nd GM), Nirila, Prisnagka(joined as Razsnagka) (5th GM), Drakosa(joined as Ellearise)(6th GM), Clr, Sunbringer, Chríssíe, Maxmaps, Tsunade, Voidcaller, Totembob, Meanwarrior, Becsület, Evuval, Silentj, Reignofnight, Werzy
From the wonderful year of 2009
Horatus, Heartlesz, Betzer, Stormmaker, Smqlf, Stakesauce, Tastey, Kahvikuppi, Fordie, Moesha, Rokaro, Viktoralia, Nicma, Mattchoo, Zodici, Furbi, Ptab, Wraurgraur, Tjockahontas, Shams, Kersje, Dedge, Bonomel, Zarkman
From 2010 (at least half of it)
Belfa, Napelon, Limonadas, Retrul, Ruubsters, Naliara, Akunin, Wendal, Hitens, Zizz, Emilya, Visari, Brainiax, Piioneer
Now some of you may think that there are people missing from this list, or that others should not be on this list even. Let me be the first to appologize for the people absent and give you a small hint on what I did to come to this list - We've been using wowstead.com for a few years time now, and we still have those old applications from back in 2008 in there :) That was a treasure that just could not be left unused... Going through 370 applications over the years takes some time, and still not every GIRL is in that list - some have been added even earlier, and some were accepted with just an in-game interview.
What I see when I look at these lists is a lot of memories - both from great times, and from painful times. We've have our share of guild drama - with two major dropouts during the latest expansion only, and also a merge to form Betrayed at the end of Burning Crusade. Still GIRL survived and people came back to our name our spirit and the people in this guild.
I thank you all - past and present GIRLs - for making this the finest guild I've been in.
Cheers,
/Prisnagka // Razsnagka // ArrnRaid days and Summer blues
Posted by PrisnagkaJuly 22, 2010 at 5:35 pmJust a quick update on our raid days and a comment on the yearly summer time blues...
Raid days
While we used to raid up to four days a week, it's been a while since last, and we're currently looking at making up to two raids a week over the summer - one on eithe wednesday or thursday and another most likely on sunday. As always, be sure to sign up for the raids and make sure you're there as well.
There's also been an update to the dkp rules, specifically on getting dkp for running a guild heroic once a week. Check out the dkp rules in the FAQ section or go directly to the section for HC snapshots.
Summer time blues...
It's that time of year again. We've been there before, and will hit it next year again... School's out and people go on vacation (myself included). This year it's also amplified by the Cata beta being opened, and people starting to look ahead for the next expansion. Fear not however, GIRL will be around, and we'll make sure we have the right people onboard for the summer and autumn and then for Cataclysm as well.
GIRLs - Be active in recruiting more members. Keep your eyes open in pug raids etc.
Prospective members - Check out our web site, see where we are, and make an application here on the web. Seek out GIRLs in-game if you have questions about the guild as well. (/who "G I R L" to find us all - please note quotation marks.)
/Prisnagka - The GIRLGIRLs Recruiting!
Posted by DrakosaJuly 19, 2010 at 5:42 pmAs the title says, plain and simply, GIRL is recruiting. ATM we are looking to recruit all classes to assist us in our raiding. We have hit the summer slump and many people have stopped raiding due to holidays etc. In order to combat this, and to get GIRL back to raiding we have to recruit some new members. If you want to push through ICC10HC, or even if you just want to raid ICC10 with an alt, possibly even run some old raids just for some fun, we need more active people.
As i already said, all classes are welcome, but they must be geared and experienced in what GIRL has acheived or is pushing for, we didnt put the effort in to kill the lich king just to take a step back. GIRLs help recruit and you never know, there may be a little present for your assistance to the guild :)
Just try and get skilled and geared players to apply on the site and lets hope we get the people soon so that we can continue our conquest of ICC and down RS :)
Best of luck
Drakosa :)Whats happening?!
Posted by DrakosaJuly 14, 2010 at 1:45 amHey GIRLs
As im sure a few of you have noticed, we havent been raiding much recently. This is due to lack of signs and too few people online for our raid times. The only way we can get back to raiding is if we get more people online and ready to raid on our set days and times. I know some people are on holiday and have been afk for a while, which is understandable, im not having a go at people. Just wanted to make it clear whats been happening atm.
A couple of days i have noticed a few more people online and shall continue to put raids up hoping that we will have enough people, but shall not be truely pushing for raids atm. Im hoping that we will have a raid together sometime soon, and we can continue having fun :)
I know a few people are leveling atm, and hope you all have fun leveling :) so lets try have some fun leveling/gearing and raiding :)
Best of Luck
Drakosa (and my many alts :P)Ruby Sanctum!!!
Posted by DrakosaJune 30, 2010 at 1:35 pmHello GIRLs!!!
So, with the new patch out today, and Ruby Sanctum becoming live i bet you are all wondering what our plans are for this! If not, then whats wrong with you people :P
Anyway, We have talked about Ruby Sanctum only briefly between the officers, but i believe for the time being it has been decided that we shall do RS10 on wednesdays, and then move to ICC10 and push the heroics. From what i understand heroic mode will be available on release, this is unconfirmed atm, but either way we shall be pushing heroic RS when we can, simply for a little gear boost etc.
As for ICC10 HC, i obviously dont want our focus to be on RS, as it offers very little, but what it offers is worth spending the first hour of wednesdays raiding for the boost. Obviously our main focus is going to remain on ICC10 HC, so make sure you can attend both raids.
Anyway,
Have fun waiting for this patch, and be prepared to kick some arse in our raids :)
All the Best
DrakosaICC 10 HC
Posted by DrakosaJune 19, 2010 at 2:33 pmSo, on wednesday we finally got to venture into ICC10 HC.
We had a couple of bad attempts on Marrowgar so decided to leave him for the day. We moved on and killed Deathwhisper on heroic, and obviously destroyed the lootship. We attempted Saurfang on heroic, but our set-up wasnt ideal. After this we continued on trash, only to lose one member of the raid causing us to not attempt any more bosses, leaving the raid finished so that if the chance arose to return and continue we could attempt a few more heroic modes.
Our alt run only had 6 guild members in, it went fairly well, killing 9/12 bosses but we still had to pug 4 people. So no true success there.
I strongly urge people to read up on ALL tactics for ICC10 HC so that we can have better attempts on heroic bosses, and so that we dont have to stop for 5-10minutes before the boss so that the people who came prepared have time to explain it to the rest of the raid. Im hoping our next ICC10HC raid will go a lot smoother :)
Best of luck, and even though i feel we should hav managed more, congratulations for those who helped kill our first two bosses on heroic.
All the best!

Posted by PrisnagkaJune 10, 2010 at 10:59 pmThe King is dead!
Long live the King!
That's right folks. has finally defeated The Lich King.
Now hard mode awaits us... Awesome job from all that were in on the previous raid evenings, the late evening wipes, and of course the team that finally made the push for the kill.
Our first Kingslayers in the guild are thus: Drakosa, Thrughar, Prisnagka, Muttip, Fyria, Wendal, Drwhoot, Zapus(Zodici), Tjockahontas (new for the evening) and our special hunter Reignofnight.
A Very Happy GIRL,
/ Prisnagka the Kingslayer (of GIRL)
PS. There was some epic bidding on Tel'thas, Dagger of the Blood King as well, where Prisnagka finally had to pay 4 000 dkp for that very nice weapon.Sooon...........
Posted by PrisnagkaJune 4, 2010 at 3:26 pm70% -> 59% -> 42% -> 38% -> 18%
We'll soon have The Lich King at our feet, there just wasn't enough time to down him yesterday, even though we extended the raid time considerably.
I want to thank all that were in the raid for a good job, and that you kept pushing for that elusive kill. Read up on your specific part of the encounter and we'll down him next time around... The current setup is lacking a shaman and a warlock, but we should still be able to down him as long as we know what we're doing.
The Lich King is a real bitch, I know, and we all agree on that, but we're used to handle bitches, so I know that he'll go down eventually as well. Just hang in there and keep signing for our progression raids.
This sunday we're taking a break from the Frozen Throne and are going for a fresh run with a mix of alts and mains, in order to have some fun and help gear up some guildies. Be there and enjoy!
Cheers,
/Prisse - The GIRLI want *Kingslayer*
Posted by PrisnagkaMay 20, 2010 at 11:09 amHi fellow GIRLs,
In order to down the Lich King asap, we need to be clear on a few things - like tactics and getting the best people to the raid at all times.
The Lich King is playing in an entirly different league compared to the other bosses we've met so far. If you want to make a comparission, it's a bit like meeting Professor Putricide (on 25-man) during our first ICC-10 raid, but with even more phases and movement going on.
We'll keep extending the raid where we have 11 bosses down until we do get that elusive title "Kingslayer", but please note that you do not get saved for entering this raid anymore, that was only true during hte first week, but since this is an extension, you'll only get saved upon downing a boss - I hope you all agree that getting saved with "Kingslayer" is quite "manageable".
Therefore, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, I expect you all to be willing/prepared to fight (and wipe on) The Lich King for GIRL. From Fridays on, you're free to either join a fresh guild run (we'll try to arrange one) or in worst case, just join a pug late in the week. I've tasked a few people to stay saved with the original ICC raid - these people will get a weekly dkp bonus for staying like that.
For this to work, we'll need two other people that could do some tanking in ICC - Reignofnight (on his paladin) comes to mind, and perhaps someone else. I do realize that we'll not make 11-bosses this way at least not the first week, but helping people to gear-up will also serve the goal of killing the Lich King eventually.
For tanks, we have: (please help me out here, who among you is chosen?)
- paladin: Reignofnight, Betzer?, Butterscotch?
- dk: Qwen?, Ruubsters, Krôx?
- warrior: Cléavage?, Zatyr, ?
- druid: Djengiz?, Drmoo, ?For healers, we'd have:
- druids: Muttip, Byoetzio, Solarb, Zooma
- paladins: Visari, Wendal, Belfa?
- priest: Wraurgraur(?), Elle (3rd healer where needed),
- shaman: Shamms, Moesha (if either gets online), perhaps even Shinru if he gets back again.Dps shouldn't be a problem to fill up.
This way we'd be able to give both LK a shot continously as well as giving people a chance to get more gear from ICC-10.
We also need to start discussing what to do to improve the fight on LK, so I'm going to start a thread where I try to summarize how we fight him etc. The web is a better place to discuss those tactics than during the raids.Cheers,
/PrisseGIRL faces The Lich King
Posted by PrisnagkaMay 6, 2010 at 12:08 amI have Goood News, Friends!
We cleared Blood-Queen Lana'thel tonight, for the first time. Not only that, but we did a fresh run in ICC-10 tonight and downed ELEVEN bosses in one sweep. That's right, we did in one evening what we did in two raids last week, and more than that as well.
We're now all set to face The Lich King, Indeed we even did pull him and had a very very quick look at phase 1 on him, before calling the raid (as it was past due).
Big gratz to all that were there, and I'm particularly happy that we one-shotted Sindragosa, two or possibly three shotted Blood-Queen Lana'thel and overall did a very nice job in there tonight. And that was done while keeping a nice spirit in TS and chat as well.
The focus we've set - to kill the Lich King before mid June - should be feasible indeed.
Cheers,
/Prisse'News :P
Posted by DrakosaMay 4, 2010 at 6:37 pmHi GIRLs
Again i want to say a big congratulations to everyone involved in the progress runs for downing two new bosses! and have high hopes that we will soon kill the lich king! If you do plan on joining our progress runs as always check up on tactics, need to know all tactics for all bosses in ICC10!
Anyway, as im sure many of you know but a few people have been hacked recently and have lost their gold etc, luckily it has been returned but you can take steps to protect yourself so your not in that situation!
As Prisnagka has already mention i would suggest that you all get authenticators to protect your account.
Details have been left already so i wont go on, will simply urge you to do your best to protect your account!
All the best!
Drakosa / Ellearise (and a few others XD)Account Security...
Posted by PrisnagkaApril 30, 2010 at 12:49 pmI'm sure a few of you read Poros post and started thinking about the dreadful question "What if... MY account got stolen/hacked?".
Personally, I decided to buy one of the Authenticator devices when I became Guild Master of G I R L . The risk of loosing all the guild assest due to some key logger or whatever was enough to convince me. Also Blizzard's changes to how the handle stolen accounts is somewhat disheartening (they have a fast-track where you get the character back but with no gear, but some emblems and some gold). Roughly at the same time they removed the shipping cost of the Authenticator as well, making it pretty easily affordable for all.
I almost never endorse commercial products etc, but in this case I simply value the security soo much that I can't afford not to do this.
Please have a look at http://eu.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=221003617 and really consider buying one. Especially those of you with substantial riches in gold or with good access to guild banks should get one.
Yours,
/Prisnagka
Ps. They're priced at 6.99 Euro, which is less than the time you'll loose in case you're hacked. (Comparing game card cost and assuming about two weeks to get the gear back...) There's also a free mobile authenticator if you're more into that kind of security. Do consider the effect of having your mobile stolen though and which is more likely to happen - mobile stolen vs loosing the physical authenticator...Sindragosa downed!!!
Posted by PrisnagkaApril 30, 2010 at 1:30 amWhat more can I say, than truly a nice week for GIRL .
Yesterday we downed Putricide and tonight we downed Sindragosa as well. (We got her down to a few per cent steadily, and finally made the push to down her.)
Gratz to all on getting another step forward towards that Kingslayer title we all want.
Cheers,
/ PrisnagkaProf. Putricide neutralized
Posted by PrisnagkaApril 29, 2010 at 2:07 pmHi GIRLs,
Long time overdue, but as we finally decided to go back to Professor Putricide , he turned out to not be such a bad guy afterall. I'm sure that we could've killed him weeks ago, had we only given him a shot. Instead we've been focusing on Dreamweaver and Blood Princes . Yesterday though, we had the set focus to get some progression for GIRL, and we made a very nice raid run - clearing up to Festergut and Rotface in roughly one hour (including trash). All one-shotted, and no time wasted on explaining tactics, as that should be known to all by know.
We took a 10 minute break before attacking Putricide , giving people time to refresh themselves on tactics for the fight. We then made our first attempt and had a very smooth run down to about 16%, when we had a quick wipe - the stacking debuff damages the entire raid, not just the tank, so after 5 stacks it's basically a wipe :) Back in and rebuff, and on the second attempt we downed Professor Putricide , in an extremely clean kill. Gratz all that got the achievement!

Moving on, we one-shotted Dreamweaver Valitheria again with no loss of people, and we went for Sindragosa as well. First we had to kill the two dragons waiting on the plattform of course. Remember to always take Rimfang (the right one) first - it's somewhat a Sartharion-fight. The left one is more of an Onyxia-fight, as it will fear the raid, which could cause an awkward moment if you run into Rimfang and aggro him. Sindragosa will aggro after the second dragon is dead.
Sindragosa was an interesting fight and we got her down to about 20%, before we called the raid for that night. We'll continue the fight there tonight, with the goal of downing her as well this week. Go check up on the fine-print of the fight, watch a movie or two, and then let's have some fun.
We've now downed 9 bosses in ICC-10, which isn't bad, and we've attempted another two - Sindragosa and Blood-Queen Lana'thel . Clearing those we'll then be able to face the set goal for the guild at the moment - The Lich King .
Yours,
/PrisnagkaFocus on getting Kingslayer
Posted by PrisnagkaApril 24, 2010 at 1:12 pmRaid focus for the next few weeks:
To reiterate what we posted earlier, we'll be pushing hard for ICC-10 progress over the next few weeks, with the clear goal of getting Kingslayer and thus unlock 10-man heroic mode. I'm sure that's an achievement many of you wants and that it's something that drives you to still play WoW now that Cataclysm has been announced. I'm hoping that Blizzard gets the launch of Cataclysm set soon, so that we all can start planning for our next push forward there, but in the mean time, let's focus on the game at hand - We've not killed the Lich King yet, and that's annoying, isn't it? :)
We've done 8 bosses so far in full guild runs. It takes us like 45 mins to do the first 4 bosses, and then we should be able to do Plague wing in roughly an hour - let's say 2 hours in total for that. It leaves us with 60-90 mins to get another 1-2 bosses down on the first raid evening. With all that out of the way, we'll have plenty of time to work on new bosses on the second day, and by having the raid days close to each other, the focus will be higher and we'll be able to get goin a lot faster.
If you're in the raid, then go to ICC early, and when you have enough people there, just start clearing trash, even if there's one or two people not there yet. Be efficient and we'll save time on for the boss fights later one.
Schedule modifications:
On Wednesday and Thursday we'll do ICC-10 raids, and on Sunday we'll pug ICC-25. Raid times on Wednesday and Thursday will still be 19.30 to 23.00, but make sure you can stay to 23.30, if need be. If we're close to downing a boss, I don't want to hearing comments like "It's almost 23.00, there's no time for another try.". The raid is over when the raid leader says so, and that's it.
We'll not do dkp at all on the ICC-25 runs for now, but will focus that on the ICC-10 runs. This is simply because we want you all to help focus on the ICC-10 progression now.
Signup changes:
We'll temporarily change the signups to be fully in-game for a while, using the normal in-game calendar for that. That way there should be no excuse for not signing up to the raids.
Keep using /AFK thread for known absences etc of course. You'll also find updates on progression, plans for upcoming bosses etc here.
Cheers,
/Prisnagka - The GIRLICC-10 focus this week...
Posted by PrisnagkaApril 20, 2010 at 7:01 pmContinuing on Drakosa's news below (Thanks for writing that!)
This week we'll be focusing on ICC-10 on wednesday, thursday and sunday. The aim is high - we should be able to get quite a few new bosses down, if we keep continuing on the raid, and keep our focus on one raid for a week. Read more on the ideas for the raid under our Raid planning forum.
I personally believe that progression in 10-man and getting to the Lich King there is more important than spending an hour trying to pug the rest of people for a good ICC-25 run.
Also, I believe that we need to get a stronger focus on raiding again, so sadly I'll be removing some of you pretty inactive people. You will all be missed, but we're basically in a similar situation to where we were a year ago, with the GIRL growing fat and needing a shape-up. I'd rather see that we have 2/3 the people left and most of them active regularly, than having a lot of members logging in weekly just to say "hi". This also emphasises the fact that we do have the /AFK forum to post if you need to be away for a while, so that we can plan for that.
All the best to you and hope to see you in a raid soon,
/PrisnagkaNotifications!
Posted by DrakosaApril 19, 2010 at 10:10 pmHey GIRLs!
Seems like it has been a while since there was any news posted! So here it is:
A few updates, a couple of weeks ago we managed to successfully down the blood princes in ICC10! This was good news, however since then we have made a couple of unsuccessful attempts to try and down them again.
We need to focus and put our efforts back into pushing progress in ICC!
The sooner we down the lich king in 10man the sooner we can start trying heroic mode to try and get us some better gear!
As for 25 man, atm we dont have enough GIRLs active enough to pull an all GIRL 25 man raid but we shall continue trying to put together a semi-guild run and hopefully sometime soon we shall be back to our GIRL runs of both 10 man and 25 man! We need to push for progress and push ourselves, people are starting to kill the lich king in heroic modes of both and we havent even killed him in normal on either!
Dont be disheartened by this, its just proof it can be done, and its a reality call to all GIRLs to get you to prove yourselves worthy of raiding!
I understand now is not a great time for some of our members as the time of exams coming up etc myself included, but we should not lose sight of our aims!
Help our ranks grow, help recruit some more people who can help us in our quests and so on!
All the best!!!

Posted by DrakosaApril 1, 2010 at 11:29 amHi GIRLs
A big congrats goes to Reignofnight for making the officer rank and leading his first ICC10 as officer. He did a fantastic job and lead the group to one-shot the first Six bosses in ICC10. We even managed a few good attempts at the Blood Princes.
IT would be a shame if we didnt revisit this raid for a few more attempts to push for progress or simply even to heal Dream. I will try organise a continuation run later in the week, lets have some progress!!
DrakosaBumpy raid does 7 bosses
Posted by PrisnagkaMarch 29, 2010 at 11:27 pmHi GIRLs,
Nice seeing that downing Dreamweaver the other week wasn't a chance accident. We downed 7 bosses during tonights ICC-10, which I believe is a fair result.
Signups are still way to slacky though, and we really need to improve on that.
Cheers,
/Prisse - in color ;)
PS. Note to self -Rotface is spreading slime disease ;)Slacking!!!
Posted by DrakosaMarch 27, 2010 at 1:18 amOk, im tired of hearing of people slacking with raiding!
Because of IRL things i havent been online much in the last week, but from what i have heard that is a good thing.
I agree with Prisnagka that slacking is affecting the raiding progress etc for our guild. From now on anyone who hasnt registered or signed for a raid shall not be eligable for DKP or dkp bidding on items! Hopefully this will push you guys to get your act together!
For the people not slacking and who have been let down by certain circumstances i appologise, im sure your as annoyed as this as the rest of us.

Posted by PrisnagkaMarch 18, 2010 at 9:45 amHi GIRLs,
The primary objective yesterday was of course to get the 25-man ICC raid going, but as people still slack on signing on the site (SHAME ON YOU!), we had to revert to doing a 10-man ICC instead. More on that later.
Still, two weeks after the migration, there are loads of you guys that haven't setup your new characters from Zenedar here on wowstead . You need to do that, as from next week, we'll make the raid schedule available only to guild members again. If you namechanged (like Butterscotch, formerly known as Akunin) then you need to add your Zenedar-character to your wowstead account, and then add him/her to the guild, and verify that guild membership (password is found in-game, and there's also a post linked from our start page on how to do this in detail). If you kept your name, you still have to do the same thing, as wowstead has no way to correlate your Vek'-toon to your Zen'-toon.
Do this for ALL your characters now, while you're at it. I can track your slacking on the roster page, and I tell you, it's not a pretty sight.
Back to that ICC-10 raid then :)
After some trap issues resulting in one or two unexpected Bone Giants, we got underway on the bosses. Once again we cleared ( one-shotted ) the first wing in ICC-25 in well under an hour (from starting on Lord Marrowgar to downing Saurfang ). My flask ran out just after Precious died and I popped it when we started on Marrowgar . That's faster than our previous run where we only got to down Saurfang in that same time. Good job!
A small break, we then continued and one-shotted Festergut as well as Rotface! These were good times and we gave Professor Putricide a good beat as well, after asking our shaman to please remove that cleansing totem, to allow Drakosa to actually possess that abomination :) There was some big laughter on TS there :) In the end though, the Professor was left alone, and we proceeded to another target :)
Svalna is and have always been an easy kill, but Valithiria Dreamwalker on the other hand was a guild first when we two-shotted her yesterday. The people in on the raid deserves a quick mention here as it's been a while since we had a guild progression: Reignofnight, Ruubsters, Butterscotch, Drwhoot, DRakosa, Aeladar, Shinru/Grimmica, Retrul, Wraurgraur and myself, Prisnagka.
Cheers,

Posted by PrisnagkaFebruary 24, 2010 at 7:21 amHi all,
As has been announced in-game, G I R L will be moving to Zenedar after tonights ICC-25 raid. Preparations are in full work. There are still a few issues that we need to sort out before we let people start migrating (ensuring the capture for DKP being one such).
So, a quick warning - if you leave ahead of time, you will most likely find yourself with zero (0) DKP once we're all settled on Zenedar. (I hope that's a good enough reason to wait with the migration for you all individually.)
Cheers,
/Prisse // Raz' (migration general)Rocking performance in ICC-25
Posted by PrisnagkaFebruary 11, 2010 at 12:34 pmHi GIRLs,
Just want to complement everyone after the very nice raid yesterday, where we cleared (one-shotted) the first wing in ICC-25 in roughly an hour (from starting on Lord Marrowgar to downing Saurfang ). My flask ran out just after Saurfang died and I popped it when we started on Marrowgar .
Trash before Marrowgar was also nicely handled.
We'll continue this raid on Sunday and the lesson for all is to study the Festergut encounter on 25-man and also check out how we should handle Rotface on 25-man.
Finally, grats to the nice loot received and to all the new Amazon Raiders that were promoted before the raid. I expect the Amazon Raiders to be a core of raiders that "are there" for us and help GIRL progress especially in 25-man raids. As such, you're expected to raid about twice a week and always be aware of the tactics of not just the current boss we're focusing on, but also the most likely "next boss".
Cheers,
/Prisnagka - happy GM.ICC-10 progress & new schedule
Posted by PrisnagkaFebruary 1, 2010 at 9:31 amHi fellow GIRLs,
Raid progress
Last week we (well technically you, as Prisnagka was in the other raid) killed Rotface in ICC-10 as well. Gratz all on the nice kill.
Yesterday we cleared the first four bosses in ICC-25 again - I think we can safely say that we're doing those on a regular basis ;-)
Promotions
As you know we recruited heavily in the early days of January and we're now seeing the result of that. My gratulations go out to all those that were promoted after the raid tonight and are now Girl or Amazon Raider even. As always when you recruit lots of people, there will be a few that don't make the cut, and to you I just want to say that I'm sorry, but we do need people that actually raid with us, otherwise the progress of this guild will halt, and I don't think anyone really wants that.
Finally - New schedule incoming!
We've decided to rotate the raids a bit on the schedule, so that we now do ICC-25 (first wing only) on Wednesday and have a continuation run for ICC-25 on Sunday! Yes, it's time to give the harder bosses there a real challenge as GIRL come after them.
ICC-10 runs will be on Thursdays from now on, with a contination run on Monday.
These changes will be in effect from February 10th. Check out the schedule here and signup of course.
The hope with this is that it will increase our time spent in ICC and thus help all get better gear, sooner. You will also have a bit more time to do rep.runs in ICC-10 as you'll not be saved there already on Wednesday.
I hope this is to everyone's liking.
Cheers,
/Prisse - proud to be The GIRL ;)Progress in ICC-25 - Saurfang
Posted by PrisnagkaJanuary 25, 2010 at 4:40 pmHi all G I R Ls,
Yesterday we went back to ICC-25 for the 2nd run there, and managed with the set objective, namely to down Deathbringer Saurfang. Not only that, but we did it on our 2nd attempt and also got an extra achievement in the process - I've gone and made a mess(25).

We wiped once on Lord Marrowgar, but after that had a very nice and smooth raid.
Gratz all on achievements and the two Marks of Sanctification that were looted. Now, let's get Festergut down in next weeks 25-man!
Cheers,
/PrisnagkaTotGC10! progress!
Posted by DrakosaJanuary 19, 2010 at 5:51 amHey GIRLs
Just a quick note to mention that GIRL ventured into TotGC10 yesterday after some time away and were able to make some progress! We killed the Faction Champions and on our first attempt against the twins managed to take them down to 18% health.
A big congratulations to the people involved, and to the people who recieved loot!
This is just another little step of progress, lets continue making them throughout all dungeons we enter!
Drakosa :)ICC-25 - 3 bosses downed
Posted by PrisnagkaJanuary 17, 2010 at 11:59 pmHello fellow guildies,
In case you managed to miss this, we went to ICC-25 tonight and after a few technical issues like d/c etc on Lord Marrowgar, we downed him nicely, and then proceeded to take out Lady Deathwhisperer on the 2nd try, and completed the evening by one-shotting the Gunship fight.
Excellent work and gratz to all for the nice work and loot.
We'll put ICC-25 on the raid schedule for next Sunday again, and hope to see even more signups then. (We did have to start out with 23 people on Marrowgar...)
Cheers all,
/PrisnagkaICC-10 progress
Posted by PrisnagkaJanuary 8, 2010 at 12:22 pmHi fellow GIRLs,
This week Blizzard released the 2nd wing of Icecrown Citadel, and we where there to help keep it under control.
On the release day we one-shotted all four bosses of the 1st wing - Marrowgar, Deathwhisperer, Gunship and Saurfang. Good job on that, but honestly it is what we should be expecting as well, after clearing it weekly now since release.
We then proceeded to new wing with excitement tingling on TeamSpeak. The trash hits harder in this wing than in the first one, and then there's the two nice little mini-boses - Stinky and Precious (nice references to LOTR - a favourite of mine) - which have their decimate abilities coupled with some special abilities as well. Stinky will turn raid members into green ooze (dispel magic) and Precious spawned a whole bunch of skeletons on us. Those skeletons can be kited around as we noticed late on the continuation evening, where we only had 3 people left alive as we decided to grind them an extra time - one tank, one healer and one ranged dps. Those three kited them all around the stairs and we got quite a lot of reputation from it.
But back to the new bosses of the wing as that's what you want to read about :)
Festergut (behind Stinky) was first out. I must say that I think we have that fight pretty nicely in our hand now, after two wipes on zero percent (40k hp left on our 3rd attempt, and then about 150k left on the try before we downed him). Yes - Festergut was down the first evening. Gratz all on the good job there. Raid time was up by then, but we did at least go and have a look at Rotface (behind Precious), and let me tell you this - he's just as ugly as the name suggests. Festergut just got to be his brother or somthing, as he's similarly ugly.
Sadly all others had left when I remembered to take this screenshot
Yesterday, we went back add had a few good attempts at Rotface, after clearing trash again, but after two hours we decided to no call the raid somewhat early, as the trash had respawned by then. The best we got him to was about 25% (rougly). People will need to study the tactics a bit more on this fight before we down him, but we will do that soon, I'm sure.
Also, I'd like to welcome all our new members to GIRL. We're having this recruiting competition and many members have been very active in trying to find good people to join our ranks. You've been found worthy - now it's your time to show us that we made the right choice to invite you. Sign up for the raids this and the next week, and we should be going to ICC-25 in just a few weeks! I'd like to see a nice guild run of TOTC-25 this or next week, just to see that all do what's expected in a 25-man as well.
Cheers,
/PrisnagkaOMG Kirony got burned!
Posted by PrisnagkaJanuary 4, 2010 at 4:10 pmThe top news of the day is of course that Kirony got heaviliy burned during yesterday's ICC-10. Lens pushed him up to bidding 3200 dkp for one single item. That was the most serious dkp burn in quite some time, and really took a deep toll on Kirony's dkp. He lost about 30% of his total dkp in this and is now closer to the rest of us mortals.
Gratz to Kirony on getting the Whispering Fanged Skull trinket from Lady Deathwhisperer.
And, while you're at it, check out the latest competition! More details in this forum thread.

/PrisnagkaLord Jaraxxus-10H downed
Posted by PrisnagkaDecember 15, 2009 at 7:52 pmAn intrepid band of ten G I R Ls ventured to Trial of the Grand Crusader and took out the Northrend Beasts and then followed that with a nice kill of Lord Jaraxxus as well. Very nicely executed kill on the third try. Gratz all to the progress.
We're going to Icecrown Citadell this wednesday in parallell with some people still going to TOTC, so remember to signup and we'll make sure we get some nice raids going.
I noticed that some members still haven't verified their guild membership here on wowstead, so read the post that's linked at the top of the page with instructions on how to do that. Then you'll be able to signup properly as well...
Cheers all,
/PrisseAttack on Icecrown Citadel
Posted by PrisnagkaDecember 12, 2009 at 1:30 pmWith the help of the Ashen Verdict, G I R L made it inside the IceCrown Citadel and already on the first evening killed Lord Marrowgar. Only one day later this was follewed by the demise of Lady Deathwisper and then a victorious battle against the alliance Gunship.
Only Saurfang the Deathbringer now remains to be downed for the brave ten GIRLs that were championed to go there first. We'll be back with G I R L in full strength (read 25-man) in due time as well. Read more about the epic battles fought against these foes under GIRLs first ICC.
Gratz to all and remember that we're still clearing TOTC-25 ho help gear up for the ICC-push. Go signup, if you haven't.
Cheers,
/Prisnagka
Raiding is indeed fun...
Posted by PrisnagkaNovember 25, 2009 at 10:12 pmFellow GIRLs,
I'm proud that we now have a good base of active raiders, to the extent that we first do two parallell TOTC-10 man, both clearing with no wiping etc tonight. (We had a total of ten casualties over both raids, with four on one person. - That's what we're aiming to beat on next week.)
After that we're pulling a third TOTC-10 as well, still with very good people - some that didn't get spots i the first two raids, and a few alts to fill up.
Very impressive, and I do look forward to the TOTC-25 on Sunday. Also, after the Ony-10 (parallell runs there if possible) tomorrow, we'll aim at doing an Ony-25 as well. That's gonna be the final rehersal before sunday.
Cheers,
/Prisnagka
PS. To sign up for TOTC-25, you WILL need to be a verified member in the guild. Read the post "How to become a true GIRL" in the public sections for a short HowTo on that. /P.What's another week???
Posted by PrisnagkaNovember 17, 2009 at 12:44 amSo, another week of raiding and what did we get from that?
Well, actually, quite a few nice things.
On Wednesday we went to TOTC-10 and cleared it - one-shotted all but the Northrend Beasts. The fight on Faction Champions was actually one of the most beautifully executed boss encounters I've seen. Too bad that we didn't get that one on film. The Lich King bugged on us before the last boss, so we went to Onyxia in the mean time. Oneshotted as well, of course. Back to TOTC and it had soft reset, so we went in and one-shotted Anub as well. Very nice moves. Thanks to all that joined and made it a nice, fun raid evening.
As Onyxia had been downed on Wednesday already, we cancelled the raid on Thursday.
On Sunday we welcomed Drakosa back to his computer by going for some Ulduar-10 raiding again. We aimed at the four towers on Flame Leviathan, but skipped it after a few wipes, and just went for a swipe on all but Iron Council - at least up to and including Auriya. The raid was a mixed one of the people that were online at the time. Also a raid marked by fun and cheerful laughter.
Tonight (Monday), we went back to Ulduar and decided to shape it up a bit. We went in a cleared first Iron Council (1-shot), then Hodir (1-shot), Thorim (1-shot), Freya (1-shot) and finally also Mimoron (1-shot). That was a very nice move from you all people, and I'm proud of you all. We rounded that visit with a quick look at General Vezzax, but we're a bit stressed at the raid time was nearing an end, and people would have to leave. Next week, we'll likely extend the raid and make sure we get the General down. Stay tuned for the plans. (We might take him just after TOTC-10 on Wednesday, but that's still open for now.)
We've also recruited a few nice people that I'd like to welcome to G I R L - you know who you are... Plans for TOTC-25 are slowly getting in place again.
We are G I R L, and noone else can say that,
/PrisnagkaNew times...
Posted by PrisnagkaNovember 9, 2009 at 1:26 amDear GIRL s,
I'm very happy that we managed to pull through tonights two raids, even if the first took a bit longer than normal as we had some lesser-geared people joining on the first bosses etc. Thanks Nirila for raid leading them.
As you probably know by now I've taken over the guild mastership from Shinru. I hope that you all will join me and the other officers in making GIRL an even better guild than before.
We're setting some new schedules, the guild rules have been updated etc. There are also quite a few new posts under Public FAQ and Guild FAQ, so please go read them and remember to sign up to the new raids that Nirila will be posting...
Cheers,
/Prisse'Yet another progress raid!
Posted by RazsnagkaOctober 29, 2009 at 11:00 pmIt would seem that nowadays all good things are three.- Last week, we cleared three bosses in Ulduar-25, on our return to the 25-man stage with G I R L.
- This week, we went to TOTC-25 and 2-shotted each of the three first bosses there; First the three Northrend Beasts, then we 2-shotted Lord Jaraxxus as well, and finally we 2-shotted the alliance Faction Champions.
- That's only two things you might object, while that is true, the third part lies in the future: On our next visit to TOTC-25, which will be our third 25-man raid, I'm confident that we'll clear it all.
Finally, a BIG BIG grats to you all for being such good G I R Ls and wanting to show Vek'nilash that G I R L - one of the servers eldest and most renown guilds - is really back in the 25-man stage again.
Cheers,
/Raz' (aka Prisnagka)Obsidian Sanctum +3 drakes
Posted by KironyOctober 28, 2009 at 12:03 amOnce upon a time...after our brave adventures, the heroic G I R L's gathered again for another epic quest. We had no fear and this time went to the Obsidian Sanctum.
Since we had killed our big dragon friend Sartharion many many times before, we decided to humiliate him to the maximum: We set out to kill him while his 3 dragon friends were watching. We all equipped our finest pieces of gear, sharpened our weapons and went to battle!!
We did fine, but we just couldnt seen to get the final touch on the kill and humiliate him in front of his friends. Apparently our untouchable Îmbå didn't had Lady Luck of his side and did in fact get hit by Sartharion. Our big dragon friend wasn't very nice to us :(. Alltough we all did our very best, we just couldn't succeed. Our finest rogue Horrôr did an amazing job, but Sartharion scared him too much and he fled from the fight. And while we thought nobody else was scarred by Sartharion, Xcitëd secretly was having second thought on the encounter as well. So, after a few more tries our loyal friend fled aswell.
What to do, what to do... There we are, sitting inside a vulcano missing two of our friends. There was simply one thing we could do: We asked two other of our loyal friends to join our heroic fight. Our mage friend Necto and our -beloved saver of the day- Byob were both willing to join our fight. Thus we once again gathered our forces, sharpened our weapons and went to battle with renewed strength and focus.
How did it go, you ask? You probably wouldn't believe me, but we killed, -what did you say killed? -Yes we killed our dragon friend Sartharion. We humiliated him in front of his 3 friends!! You don't believe us? Really? Well, we got proof! Since he was so completely humiliated, he offered himself and our fierce Papegojan will now ride on his back until the end of time.
THE END
Greeting from the ancient G I R L Kirony
No more beasts...
Posted by ShinruOctober 26, 2009 at 11:38 pmAfter again, a very smooth totc 10 normal raid, we decided to try heroic. The CORE group could finally, after Byob joined the raid, press on towards totc 10 heroic. And there we stood. After 2 tries on the Beasts of Northrend, we took them down. Succesfully slain. The first big boss in totc 10 heroic. After that, with everyone being cheered up, we took on Jaraxxus. That was kinda different. After having some trouble mastering the portals, adds etc. and a few whipes we found out how we could effectively get rid of these. With this information and strategy in mind, we'll certainly kill the second boss next time! So basically all I want to say is:
NB HC DOWN... PROGRESSION... YAY....................
Right..
ShinruTHE Epic Story!
Posted by NirilaOctober 19, 2009 at 3:27 pmI, Nirila the Argent Champion, had promised to tell THE Epic Story about our heroic deeds in Trial of the Crusader, Ulduar-25 and Ulduar-10. And as such stories tend to slowly fade from the memory over time, some epic deeds will not be forgotten that easily! I will tell you the story now before I grow to old to clearly tell them.
Once upon a day... (This is how all epic stories start.)
Once upon a day, the members of G I R L decided that the Terrifying Colosseum in the north of Icecrown was to be bathed in The Light spread by our members. We would cleanse the Colosseum from the Evil that was currently controlling it! So, not only one group of brave members decided to help, but two full G I R L groups had polished their armor, sharpened their weapons and equipped their lucky charms!
After wishing each other the best of luck we went into the fearsome dungeon and started battling the Terrible Icehowl who died quickly by our powerfull spells and strong hands!
After that came the Demonic Lord Jaraxxus who quickly found his demise aswell by our gear imbued with The Light! But then Fate struck us... The Faction Champions proved to be quite the obstacle for both groups, as both groups were lacking certain ways of crowd control!
Only G I R L's resilience and mentality made it possible for these brave people to pull themselves through the hard obstacle and move on to the Twin Valkyrs. At the Twin Valkyrs, the memory of this old man fades a bit - but surely this can only be evidence that we easily cleared the twins and were free to move on to Anub'Arak.
Anub'Arak was waiting is his own territory burried well beneath the Colosseum , but we sought him out and kicked his ass!
After the brave adventures in The Colosseum, the brave raiders from G I R L joined once more, about a week later, to go into the Deep and Vast Dungeons of Ulduar. But not just any Ulduar.. noo my dear listeners. This was to be the first Ulduar-25 run G I R L had ever made! Sadly disease had struck our ranks, and we were having a hard time getting enough healthy people powerfull enough to go into Ulduar with shiny armors. The healthy people that we managed to gather were really motivated to drive fear into the ranks of Ulduar's fearsome armies, so we decided to start with only 20 courageous people and start with downing Flame Leviathan and im proud to say this folks, but we kicked his ass!
Not just Flame Leviathan, dear listeners, but Razorscale also got to feel the rage of the group, and so did the Powerful XT-002 Deconstructor. But listeners, fatigue had now struck the raiders and the great Kologarn proved to mighty that evening. We will return Kologarn to take your Head! and your arms as well!
Finally patient listener, we come to the story of Ulduar-10. All the Keepers had been downed so far already except for the enigmatic Mimiron. Thanks to the initial work of some fellow guildies earlier in the week, everything up to Mimiron had been cleared, and we were free to start right away on Mimiron himself this Sunday and we sure did! People showed to be able to learn real quick and even though we had a hard time, we killed him on our fourth attempt and made progress with the guild!!
All the keepers are now downed, and the next stop is to Kill them all within one raid lockout. Lets do it!!
Nirila, Proud Officer of G I R LGIRL leaves the 10-man stage
Posted by RazsnagkaOctober 19, 2009 at 12:50 pmSo, finally the day came...
The day when G I R L stepped up to 25-man raiding again. (We did 25-man successfully during TBC and for a little while early on in WOTLK, before we created the, now gone, guild Betrayed.)
Last Wednesday October 14th marked the start of our Ulduar 25-man raiding. We gathered what forces we had online and decided to go boldly where we'd not gone as a guild before.
- Flame Leviathan was easily downed, no surprise there.
- Razorscale followed suit after just a little hesitation. (Some people had lag issues etc.)
- Then XT was downed next.
We'll formally tick off the old raids once we get the time for it, but according to guildox.com we already have quite a few of those achievements, so it's really only to make the runs for ourselves.
Gratz to all those that were in on the run, and see you all for next week! I hope to see at least 30 signups for the wednesday raid!
/Raz'TOTC-10 cleared (of course)
Posted by RazsnagkaOctober 6, 2009 at 5:29 pmHi all,
Just a short one to mention that we've of course cleared totc-10 fully. We did that a few weeks ago, but we've not come around to update the news on the web.
Gratz to those that were in on the first kills!
Yesterday we did 1,5 runs there - one full guild run that cleared it fully, and a pug that only made it 3/5. Lacking dps from pugs and some bitch talk made the pug fail :(
Cheers,
/Raz'The Beginning of the End...
Posted by RazsnagkaSeptember 28, 2009 at 11:15 pmAnd thus it went as prophezied, G I R L liberated Freya yesterday, once again led by that shining knight of our glorious past - Kirony. This time with the help of a mix of members from the guild - our belowed(?) guild master Shinru joined us in our efforts and together with Tarla and Prisnagka helped keep us alive.
However, some missfortune struck our ranks even before we got started - there were some strange events "computer chrashed, lag, dc" and other previously unknown rl-events going on and then we waited and waited and waited for our hunting brothers to come back from their hard work out in the woods. Sadly we waited in vain, as both our finest hunters seemed to have lost themselves to the woods that day, clearly forgetting that the rest of us stood there with backpacks ready i Dalaran. After some frantic rowing in the guild bar, we finally managed to get a few people focused enough to leave Brewfest for a while and go out and save the world.
Freya , my dear, what a fight you put up. We learned fast however and after only a few attemps, we managed to get the show together, and Freya now stands free at last in the hall of Ulduar, waiting for us to go after Ygg. But before we go down that road, we need one more companion - Mimiron.
So listen now to the final call to the Keepers, Mimiron, polish your machinery, work day and night, build all you want, improve on Flame Leviathan. Do all that you want, work day and night, G I R L is coming for you next week!
/Prisnagka aka Raz'
PS. I must also welcome Nicto and Mattchoo our to latest raid members. The Death of the Broodmother
Posted by RazsnagkaSeptember 28, 2009 at 11:14 pmBarely had the Broodmother Onyxia dared to set foot on the earth once again, when G I R L was there and defeated her.
Her Deep Breath made into nothing by active and inspired leadership from the macro-maker. Her Onyxian Guardians and Whelps taken care of by the xgirl extraordinarie Renita, who once again joined his old friends for some fun and inspired raiding. As one of our warriors was defeated, death stared on our eyes, Renita saved the day by taking them all on himself. Our healers pushed themselves hard and kept not only him, but everyone else alive during the remaining encounter, and then we stood there, once again victorious.
Rest assured Onyxia, for G I R L will return in greater numbers and ensure that you're not let loose on the world.
/Prisnagka, aka Raz'GIRL is on the move - Thorim!
Posted by RazsnagkaSeptember 17, 2009 at 8:27 amI warned him, oh yes I did...
Prepare I said, and he did...
Yet, when the full force of G I R L hit Thorim and his minions, there was but one thing he could do, and that he did well. Rest i peace Thorim and keep to your promise of supporting us once we call you to help us against Ygg himself. But for now, know that G I R L is on the move and we're clearing more and more of Ulduar.
Yesterdays raid was fun in many ways, not the least that we had quite a few new members joining us for the first raid. Welcome all!
Tarla - the healing tank, Reyo - the fearless hunter and Eleneor - the lock that went rogue (Alchoholic for those that knew him then).
I'll admit that I wasn't sure how this would go when we gathered after downing Flame Leviathian, but as we progressed further into Ulduar, it became clear that we'll eventually get to Ygg as well.
Next up of the Keepers would naturally be Freya, so hear my call and bend nature as you wish. G I R L is still coming for you, and we'll release you fromyour misery as well, have no doubt about that!
/Prisnagka aka Raz'Raiding is.... fun? !
Posted by RazsnagkaSeptember 14, 2009 at 9:06 amIndeed, raiding isn't just all about progression and downing yet another newly released boss, even if that is also pretty fun. Raiding is about having a good time with your guildies and getting the sense of achieving something together.
Yesterday afternoon five GIRLs and two ex-girls went to The Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj just for the fun of it, and also because since Blizzard released the achievement stuff back in wotlk. We had a fun hour or so, I didn't check the time at all, and blasted through what used to be tough back in the old vanilla days. I got sacrificed at an altar, but as we had two healers, it wasn't that bad. Doing AQ25 felt easier than doing The Old Kingdom, but still it provided us with an entertainment, as many hadn't been here before and thus didn't really know any special tactics on the bosses etc.
Tonight a more challenging task awaits GIRL - the Beasts of Northrend in Call of the Crusader.
Go out and have fun, and progress!
/Prisnagka - officer of GIRLHodir down
Posted by RazsnagkaSeptember 9, 2009 at 11:41 pmI once wrote a really nice and epic story about how a band of ten adventurers went to Ulduar and faced some of the most terrifying bosses there. It was the knight in shining armor - Kirony - with his trusted friend Heartlesz , that led the assault. Kersje , Shinru and Prisnagka called upon the powers that be and used that power to instill strength in weary and broken bones, thus keeping everyone in a good mood. The main force was led by Nirila , Dedge , Maratus , Profion and Tastey , each contributing in their special way to their demise of several bosses that night.
The first sign that this assault would prove fatal for the former inhabitants of UIduar came early - Flame Leviathan was downed Unbroken and undaunted by G I R L . We one-shotted XT Deconstructor (and we'll get your heart downed next time, don't worry) and headed for that once feared giant Kologarn , who we showed the pain of being Disarmed .
The Cat lady Auriya was next and while she tried to scare us, she failed badly, and had to succumb to our undeniable power that night.
The road to Hodir now lay white-open to us, and as I have the coolest friends , it's no surprise that Hodir didn't make it. Sure, he did put up a good fight, but some nice coordinated moves led by our Shinru proved to be fatal for Hodir .
Time is of the essence they say, and as they where on a tight schedule that evening - all wanted to get back to the cozy fire for another pint of beer or something - we decided to call it a day, or evening, and wowed to come back later and finish the job, once and for all.
Fear Thorim , for GIRL is coming for you. Prepare, but it shall be in vain. Not even Razorscale or Ignis will be able to slow down our assault when we get back - you'll all be put down as only we can do.
We are G I R L, and noone else can say that!
Be proud and stand up for our name, then glory shall be yours from now and to the end of time!
/Prisnagka - proud member of G I R LSartharion + Tenebron = dead
Posted by RazsnagkaSeptember 6, 2009 at 11:23 pmWell, we finally came around to clearing Obsidian Sanctum with Tenebron still alive. It was a very nice and clean run - not a single death, or even close one, at anytime during the whole run. No point in making a screen shot here, as they look the same as normal OS, you'll just have to trust me ;)
Once we were done with Sartharion, we went to Eye of Eternity and payed Malygos a little visit. After some initial problems, we got to to phase three reliably and downed him as soon as we had healing and movement coordinated. It wasn't the speediest run - no rooting of sparks, but we still made it good. We used two healers throughout the run.
Cheers,
/Prisnagka aka Raz'
PS. Tomorrow brings a new week, and perhaps some new news from Call of the Crusader... ;) /Raz'Raid schedule
Posted by RazsnagkaAugust 25, 2009 at 8:08 pmHi GIRLs,
We're setting a new raid schedule for the next months.
Raid days and focus:
Wednesday evening: Ulduar progression
Sunday afternoon: Ulduar continuation
Sunday evening: Naxx or a combo of OS+drakes and EoE (running alternating weeks)
Monday evening: ToTC
Raid times:
evening: 19.30 signup, 20.00 first kill, 23.30 raid done
afternoon: 14.00 signup, 14.15 first kill, 16.30 raid done
Note:
We'll extend the Ulduar raid if it's considered suitable for progression.
Raid signups will be here on the web from now on!
Cheers,
/Raz', Shinru, Nirila, Kirony and StakesPatch 3.2 and GIRL
Posted by RazsnagkaAugust 14, 2009 at 10:57 pmJust a quick heads-up on things.
People will be back for studies at Campus and what not at the end of the month, so we should get better raid attendance then. Stick in there and we'll get GIRL back on a nice track again.
We've lost a few positions on GuildOx's list (see above) but nothing bad. We can fix those within 1-2 weeks of focus. (We should aim at always do at least one achievement on the Naxx-runs we do, and try to push as deep as possible into Ulduar rather than clearing all the optional bosses first.)
Cheers,
/Raz'
PS. I want to see more action in the forums from you guys ;)
Summer's over...
Posted by RazsnagkaAugust 2, 2009 at 10:26 pmGreetings fellow guildies,
The summer vacation is now over and we should get back to normal raiding in a few weeks. We did a soft start with just seven GIRLs downing Flame Leviathan with one tower up, so Orbital Bombardment is now ours. (Actually, we got it last week already, but I didn't know as I was on vacation then :) )
Nice job all, and a special one to Smqlf for leading us through this one.
Cheers,
/Raz'
Ps. There are a few raids in the calendar now, so start signing and let's move in further in Ulduar. Patch 3.2 is closing in on us... /R'Tanks - where do they party?
Posted by RazsnagkaJuly 5, 2009 at 9:22 pmFellow GIRLs,
Tanks seem to be a very special breed in our lovely game. Lately I've been wondering if they've found some nice pub or secluded island to withdraw to though, as we always seem to be somewhat short on them... Thanks to Drakosa and Smqlf tonight for enabling us to do [Less Is More] (yet again). A very nice and smooth run, with Lovefool topping the dps-meters in the end. Sevilana made her first GIRL raid, and is probably a happy girl now, with a new tier gear to polish and enchant.
We've got a few very good tanks in the guild, but we do need more, so if you run into some nice ones, don't hesitate to hint them at joining GIRL instead. We're that good :)
Last, summer is here and attendance will likely drop somewhat on the raids. Feel free to post in the Random forum if you know that you're going away for an extended period of time.
Cheers,
/Raz' (Prisse)Ulduar got a bitchslap!
Posted by MaphestaJune 12, 2009 at 2:46 pmDear readers,
It was the 10th of June when GIRL entered Ulduar, without fear, with her eyes fixed on the danger behind the Flame Leviathan. She heard the roars of the dragon, felt the heat of the golem, heard the blabbering of the constuct. She faced them all with unparrelled bravery and a spirit that'd take the heart of any opponent.
Without skipping a beat, she entered the portal that took her further into the dwarven halls. She wrestled with a giant and took him down.
Then, when her muscles were numb and her spirit fading from restless battle, she made a decision only the true conquerer can make: she retreated back to safety, to return again another day.
"Ulduar, fear my return." She thought through gasps of exhaustion, and a wicked grin took her ears. "For when I do, I take your pride and claim it as my own!"
Kind regards,
MaphestaGIRL gearing up
Posted by RazsnagkaJune 9, 2009 at 11:01 amVery nice going last night! We're gearing up for the raiding part with two full clears of Naxx-10.
The second group managed to clear Arachnid within 20 minutes. Good job!
It took us to the 5th or 6th boss before we even lost our first man to a boss, and it wasn't until Instructor Razuvious (3rd wing) that we even got a wipe.
Some problems getting started and having to pug one member, made us overshoot the target of finishing faster than the previous raid, but we had it all cleared at 01.30.
Next week, GIRL will be focusing on raiding even harder, and Maphesta has put together a nice challenging program for us. Let's all rise to the challenge and be as focused then as we were the first hour yesterday. I've never heard such intense silence on TS as yesterday. All coupled with some fun moments as well!
Cheers,
/Raz'"Kill them all" - he said...
Posted by RazsnagkaJune 5, 2009 at 9:47 amLast Naxx-10 raid featured this blood-thirsty Morthogh who kept whispering over TS - "Pull them all, kill them all!" And so Zanmatok, with the help of Drakosa, stepped forward and pulled larger and larger packs within Naxxramas.
And in the end we made a full clear in about four hours, with quite a lot of extra trash cleared just for the fun of it.
I think we only wiped on one boss - Instructur Razuvious, and I know that we one-shotted both Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad again.
We finished the raid at 00.30, so the challenge to the next Naxx-group (planned for this Monday) is to finish the raid before midnight.
It will be really nice seeing two full clears of Naxx now, it's been a while since the last time, but as we go back to a more focused RAIDING guild, we should be seeing faster clears of Naxx, as well as some more progress in the 10-man areas.
May the roll be with you, and, for those few that still haven't, remember to install teamspeak before the next raid.
Cheers,
/Raz'GIRL stands tall!
Posted by MaphestaMay 8, 2009 at 3:43 pmHey there sexies!
Most of you already know: I, Maphesta, am back. I've been through some shit in real life. Shit that had a priority over WoW (that seemingly IS possible). GIRL managed to stand tall without a leader for about a month thanks to my great officers. Thank you, guys -- ehm, GIRLs!
Now some of you "new" folks might see this bigmouthed Morthogh dude ingame or even Maphesta himself and think "Who in the nine hells are you, dude!?". That is only understandable. I hereby inform you that that's me. The hardheaded, tempered, opportunistic and pragmatic guildleader. I will love all you new guys, I think -- no.. I know so! I can only hope you'll feel the same about me.
Shinru, Kirony, Razsnagka, Horatus, Nirila, Ellearise... amazing job keeping the progressing curve rather steep! Thanks once more.
Love,
Maphesta
PS: There's obviously also some non-officers that put a damn lot of love in GIRL. This does not go unnoticed, for your information.GIRL rocks again!
Posted by ScawnMay 8, 2009 at 12:21 pm''The dark void awaits you!'', Kel'Thuzad said when GIRL was fighting him.. Indeed Kel, but not for us, for you!
Naxxramas 10 man has been on farm for quite a while now, last Wednesday we formed a group again and entered Naxxramas. But not just a group, no... A group, that managed to clear Naxxramas in one evening with just 1 whipe, GIRL's new record! We cleared Naxx within 3,5 hours for the first time, We one-shotted almost every boss! ( Except Sapph, but hey, that's okay! ) And the amount of focus and power, were incredibly high.
Yet another victory and achievement for GIRL, but there will be more.. more.... and lots of more..
Great respect to those 10 that are trying Ulduar, they that keep trying, they that keep conquering bit by bit.. And one day, GIRL will have conquered all!
It's time to focus on Naxxramas 25 man now.. And you'll see..
The true GIRL within!
Many greetings, from ShinruTotal-freckin'-Platinum Crap
Posted by MaphestaApril 13, 2009 at 7:11 pmMy dear GIRLs,
For a week my dear friend Scawn took over guild leadership. Last week, however, I asked him to give me the leadership again. I was ready and able to grant WoW enough of my time again. So here I was, all proud and shit. I couldn't wait to lead us to the highest of peaks! Untill...
Untill Blizzard banned me due to payment issues. The worst thing about this is that it is all a misunderstanding. But this or that, my direct debit option has been... well, annihilated.
For the time being I cannot enter the World of Warcraft. I'm not one for Game Cards so I'll have to wait for Blizzard to read my darned e-mail and get this "Totally-Freckin'-PLATINUM customer" his favored payment option back.
I can't wait...
In the meantime I trust in my officers and the rest of you to keep GIRL up and about. Gear up. Have fun. Grow. Storm the gates of Icecrown!
I believe in you, my GIRLs.
Kind regards,
MaphestaGIRL back to raiding!
Posted by ScawnMarch 26, 2009 at 7:32 pmWelcome my dear dear GIRL's,
GIRL has been back for a while and as we all know, we started raiding again! We went through Naxx10 on our first run, and we cleared it! A most awesome moment! But what does that tell us? That Naxxramas is easy? Hell no, GIRL just rocks! Undergeared and unexperienced we went to Naxxramas, we tried, we whiped, it was our first time. But we didn't give up! We washed off our blood, repaired our gear and went back in! We rocked Naxxramas! We tore the whole thing apart!
But there will be more! We still need to conquer the Obsidian Sanctum (10) (25) ( with 3 drakes up ), Naxxramas (25) and ofcourse, in the future Ulduar! I know we can make it guys!
As things stand now, we need more members, which means GIRL is recruiting again. Also, we need more people attending to raids! Raids, what do they tell us? Form a group with 9 other peeps and kill some bosses and lewt them epix up? Nonono, you missed the most important part: FUN.
Raids are fun, raids are, well, cozy isnt the right word really, but it brings us GIRL's together. They are the test, for the teamwork of GIRL. We start as multiple, we will end as one! as one GIRL!
So don't hesitate with signing! Just do it, and experience, the true spirit of GIRL!
With many greetings, your dorklock favorite,
ScawnG I R L is BACK!
Posted by MaphestaMarch 7, 2009 at 1:59 pmWelcome, my fellow GIRLs!
Some of you might be unknown to this guild's history. This is why I incline that you check this site out for a few minutes. Many of you might've heard me say that this guild was one of the best during the time of TBC. You might realize at this point that my words were true.
Anyway! Many things have changed. At some point I stopped playing World of Warcraft and Massacraur took over the leadership of GIRL. At that point GIRL kept progressing and progressing. We got better and stronger. Then GIRL merged with another guild and they formed "Betrayed". This was the end of GIRL.
But then I came back, together with Sheogar/Aeladar and Fooks (we were the founders of GIRL). Our former officers heard quickly of our return, and hasitated not a minute before rejoining us. Many ex-members heard of GIRL's ressurrection, and they too did not doubt for a second before rejoining.
From that day we've worked hard to invite new members. We are now at a point where we can start raiding again. We did Naxx 10 last week for the first time and we got all the way up to Thaddius! From that point on it was clear to me: Success is in the name of this guild!
Now, get your ass to the "schedule" part of this site and sign up for raids.
Grab your weapons, prepare your spells! We shall once again rock Azeroth so hard that even Arthas shall succomb to our presence!
Best regards,
Maphesta -
Hello GIRLs
Just making a little update post, yesterday (wednesday) we went into ICC10 HC with a decent raid set-up for what seems like quite a long time. I am proud to say that generally the raid went very well, apart from a couple of problems that befell us towards the end.
We one shotted 5 bosses on heroic (the first wing and festergut) and after a little hiccup also killed rotface HC. We also decided to get a new acheivement from the professor on normal and were on our way to try a couple of progression bosses. Unfortunately we hit a snag at this point, but sometimes these problems just happen.
I want to say a big gz to everyone in the raid last night, everything pretty much went smoothly, the raid atmosphere was good and i believe everyone involved had a good time. It was by far one of the best GIRL raids for a long time :)
Thanks everyone and i hope to see continued effort in raids,
All the best,
Drakosa - The "new" GIRL! :P

This is just to inform you all why the site is looking so extremely old and out-of-date.
Wowstead/Curse seem unable to complete the migration properly. At least now they've acknowledged that the problem still persists...
"razsnagka, There has been an issue with a very small minority of guilds that we're unsure about - your guild was one of them. Once we are able to identify the problem, we'll inform you immediately. I have just re-added your guild to the importer list, and we're making every effort to bring it back online. Sorry for the long wait. Cherubdown"
Let's keep the spirit up with some fun raids, like yesterday when we tried out the new talents etc by downing Sartharion with all three drakes up.
Cheers,
/Prisse - still The GIRL -
Website migration in progress. Things will improve. Business as usual in-game. Use in-game calendar for raids.
